"For the price, you really can't beat Sumba Rental Bikes. The rental process was hassle-free, and the bike I received was robust and well-suited for the rugged paths of Sumba. They provided a free helmet, and the bike had a surfboard rack and a case to bring my belongings. Great value for anyone looking to explore on a budget."

Here are some top spots in West Sumba that are scooter-friendly:
- Lapopu Waterfall: One of Sumba’s best. ~1–1.5 hrs from Waikabubak. Mostly paved with a short gravel section.
- Waikelo Sawah: Rice fields, springs, and a peaceful atmosphere. ~30–40 mins from Tambolaka.
- Waikuri Lagoon: Crystal-clear saltwater lagoon. ~1.5 hrs from Tambolaka.
- Mandorak Beach: Tiny cove near Waikuri. Last part is a bit bumpy but easy by scooter.
- Ratenggaro Village: Traditional houses and tombs by the sea. Road can be rough but still accessible.
In West Sumba, many great surf spots are scooter-accessible. The Kerewei area works best in the wet season, with Kerewei Right offering long right-hand walls for intermediate to advanced surfers, and Lips Peak providing a fun, mellow A-frame for beginners. In the Marosi area, which shines in the dry season, you’ll find options like Cocos (a fun left for intermediates), Beachy (perfect for beginners), and heavier waves like Launching Pads and Sunsets for experienced surfers. Pinnacles and The Hole offer punchy reef breaks for advanced riders, while Rua Right (Ombak Gila) delivers barrels in the wet season. For learners, Watu Bella is an ideal soft left-hander on a white sand beach.
"I recently rented a motorbike for a week-long tour around the island, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The bike was in excellent condition and came with all the necessary gear. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing me with advice on the best routes to take. Riding through Sumba's breathtaking landscapes was an unforgettable adventure. Highly recommend them for anyone looking to explore this beautiful island on two wheels!"
